Paytm will ‘pay you’ Rs 500 for buying the Reliance Jio Phone
Paytm’s e-commerce platform, Paytm Mall, has announced a flat discount of Rs 500 for the Reliance JioPhone. However, the Rs 500 discount will be in the form of cashback. Paytm Mall customers can avail the cashback by using ‘Monsoon500’ coupon code while making their purchase using the Paytm Mall mobile app. The cashback is a part of the Paytm’s ‘monsoon loyalty cashback’ offer. This will bring the effective price of the Jio Phone to Rs 1,099 from its original price of Rs 1,599. Note that this offer has nothing to the ‘Monsoon Hungama’ offer that was announced by Reliance recently.
Reliance will soon roll out its Jio Phone Monsoon Hungama offer from July 21. The scheme was announced by Mukesh Ambani in RIL’s 41st Annual General Meeting early this month. Ambani had announced that buyers could exchange their old feature phone with JiPhone for Rs 501 from July 21.
However, under the Rs 501 exchange offer, the ‘effectively free’ phone will not be free anymore. You will not get any refund if you buy JioPhone through Monsoon Hungama offer as it is one-time payment purchase. If you want to avail of the effectively free offer, you will have to pay Rs 1500 for the JioPhone and the exchange offer won’t be applicable.
